Lecture "The Dissolution of Buildings"
Angelo Bucci, principal of sbpr arquitetos, will lecture on the idea of how an architect can pass through walls, and how the city enters private architecture. Through a discussion of his design projects and theoretical research, Bucci will also provide analyses on São Paulo and its architectures.
Angelo Bucci (architect, 1987; Masters, 1998; and PhD, 2005, FAU-USP) is co-founder and principal of spbr arquitetos, São Paulo. He is a lecturer in the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism (FAU) at the Universidade de São Paulo and is a visiting professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, USA. He has held several visiting professorships at North American, Latin American and European universities. His projects have been published widely and he recently built a residential project in Lugano, Switzerland. Bucci's award wining design practice is known for its radical weekend and city houses, sophisticated larger residential projects, and speculative approach to architectural competitions.
